Biography

Stuart Coulton is the Principal of Sydney Missionary Bible College, Australia, and a member of Abbotsford Presbyterian Church in Sydney. At SMBC, he lectures in pastoral theology and church history, with a particular interest in the pastoral theology of Martin Luther. Prior to ministry, Stuart practised law in the NSW Supreme Court and in private practice. From 1987 to 2002 he served as an ordained Presbyterian minister, before joining the faculty of SMBC full-time in July 2002. He has been the Principal since 2012.

Stuart and is married to Pauline, a social worker in Sydney’s western suburbs. They have three married children and two grandsons. He enjoys walking, reading novels, spending time with family and having his heart broken by the Waratahs, St George and West Bromwich Albion.

Stuart will present two seminars on “The Road to the Reformation” (in the North Island) to help us reflect on lessons learned over 500 years of the Protestant Reformation.
