STAND 2020-22 speakers and dates

We enjoyed a great planning meeting yesterday as a team in Auckland. Lord willing both the SI and NI Conferences will continue for the next several years.

2020

We’re excited to welcome DA Carson back to New Zealand on the following dates:
31 July – 02 August => Christchurch
07 – 09 August => Auckland

Don spoke at our 2014 Conference from the book of Jeremiah, and his ministry of the word was well-received.

Registrations will open on or before 1 April 2020. As we expect significant interest for this conference, we will have a pre-registration process similar to 2014 that is open to previous conference attendees first. To make sure you get the latest updates, please sign up to our mailing list.

2021

For our 10th STAND Conference, we will host David Jones as keynote speaker on the following dates:
16-18 July => Christchurch
23-25 July => Auckland

David Jones was born in Wales and has served churches in Wales, London and Australia. He has just retired as the Senior Pastor at Ann Street Presbyterian Church in Brisbane. Before moving to Brisbane in 2014, David was involved in the Vision 100 network, a co-operative church planting movement in Hobart, Tasmania that has resulted in the establishment of new congregations in the Presbyterian and Christian Reformed Denominations. David was Moderator General of the Presbyterian Church of Australia from 2010 to 2013. He is married to Ruth and they have just returned to Tasmania and look forward to re-establishing friendships and getting to know their grandchildren.

2022

Carl Trueman has tentatively agreed to return as our 2022 keynote speaker. Due to unexpected events, Carl was unable to join us in 2018. We look forward to renewing fellowship and being challenged from his ministry from the Word.

Conferences can be a drain on time and resources. They can also be a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and spiritual feeding. We pray Stand for the Gospel falls into the second category, and hope that you’ll join us in the years to come!

In your service,

The STAND Conference organising committee
